With careful consideration of the carbon footprint, Christoffer and Line dedicated themselves to sourcing 95% of materials locally, primarily from renewable resources within Denmark.
Christoffer explains their approach, stating, “In terms of environmental impact, we considered both the construction and the future use of the house.” Such mindfulness reflects their strong commitment to sustainability—a principle increasingly resonating in green architecture.
Crafting the Nordic Aesthetic with a Japanese Influence

Shunning conventional building methods that often rely heavily on concrete, the architects opted for elevated concrete piers, ensuring that only one tree on the property was sacrificed for the construction.
